HOW TO INSTALL STEPS:

Let’s begin:

  1. Check all the boxes for any transport damages.
  2. Check the label to find out which room that shutter belongs in, it is best to assemble shutter in front of the window and opening one box at the time so pieces don’t get mixed up.
  3. Carefully take the frame and fixings out of the box (do not dispose of the box until shutter is operating properly)
  4. On the end of the fame you will find marking L(left) R(Right) B(Bottom) and T(Top)
  5. Lay the frame down, on the cardboard packaging it came in, face up
  6. Align Hoffman key (which will come inserted in the frame sides) and connect all for sides
  7. Carefully lift the frame up to the window and slide it into the recess
  8. Use spirit level to ensure the frame is level on all sides. (If frame is not leveled properly use a piece of cardboard to wedge it underneath to get it leveled perfectly)
  9. Use one screw in each side only to fix frame at this stage
  10. Panels will also come marked on the bottom 1, 2, 3 etc always starting from left hand side
  11. Remove the hinge pin, lift it up to the frame and drop the pin back in once frame and panels are in place
  12. Repeat for the rest of the panels (Adjust hinges up or down by loosening the screw in the oval shaped hole on the hinge)
  13. When you are happy with the alignment, insert the small hinge screw into the round hole on the hinge to lock them in position)
  14. Fix your frame with remaining screws
  15. If needed, loosening hinge screws will ensure that the panels have enough movement to engage with the magnet plates.
  16. If desired or necessary, fill the holes between the frame and wall with the gap filler for professional finish.

When fitting shutters on the outside of the window (face fit) you could ask a friend to help hold the frame in the position while you insert one screw in each side. If frame is not sitting leveled, you can make small movements to either side to get your frame perfectly square.

That’s it! You Did It Yourself!
